We’ve all been waiting for The Side Bar and Restaurant to open in the location formally known as Vincent’s. Good News West Chester, the time has come. The official Grand Opening is Sunday (tomorrow) at Noon but they have been open since the Friend’s and Family Night on Tuesday night. For pictures of the events check here or visit the Photos tab.
I was lucky enough to get a taste of some of the menu offerings and all I can say is West Chester is in a for a treat with lunch, dinner and a bar menus (brunch will be coming soon)! The menu is globally-influenced and oh-so-delicious. Here are some of my favorite offerings from the menu:
I LOVE duck and luckily for me it’s available in two yummy dishes…
The smoked duck salad with baby spinach, roasted peppers, dried cranberries, grapes, goat cheese and a warm apple wood smoked bacon vinaigrette for $9.
Smoked duck cannelloni stuffed with ricotta and mozzarella cheese, butternut squash topped with a blush sauce for $18.
A fanatically tasty bar food item is the savory french toast with spicy sausage, smoked mozzarella with maple syrup for $8. It’s exactly what you are always in the mood for without even knowing it.
I’m not normally one for ordering chicken at a restaurant (I’m more in favor of ordering more exotic items) but the bone-in chicken with andouille hash, roasted garlic and sage gravy for $15 rocked my world.
My other favorites are the Tilapia with asian veggies, ginger and saki wrapped in bananas leaves with a ponzu sauce and the Ahi Tuna with mushrooms, green peppercorns and Roodeberg wine (from South Africa).
