What’s Happeninig at the Winery | |
West Grove
As mentioned above, spring is here and we couldn’t be happier. We’ve had some rain but need a little more to ensure the grapes get the hydration they need to sustain the summer. We’re looking forward to a hot and sunny summer with just a little rain occasionally. We have a lot going on this season so check out the info below and mark your calendars.
Vineyard day was a success, thanks to all of the volunteers that helped. We got about 500 plants in the ground and they’re looking great. You’re looking at a new Vidal Blanc plant. We’ll be training this plant throughout the season and will remove all grapes over the next 2 years so the vines can concentrate on being healthy and strong instead of tryng to grow good grapes.
If you missed vineyard day but want to learn more about the process or just first-hand what we do, join us for “Bottling Day” on Memorial Day, May 25. We’re looking at getting a couple of hundred of cases done that day so check us out. We’ll start the day at 9:00 and work until 5:00. Of course Carole will be makiing her famous Vineyard Burgers for lunch so call now to schedule. Participation is limited so call today at 610-869-4412.
For those of you that haven’t seen our newly renovated tasting room and winery (and for those that have), we’re partying on Saturday May 30 to celebrate. You can meet the folks that did the work and the Dave Ranz Group will be playing jazz from 2-5. There will be prizes and discounts all day. So make a point to stop in and check out our new digs!!!
