(West Chester, PA) The Chester County Hospital Diabetes Self-Management Program will team with local celebrity, chef and registered dietitian, Katie Cavuto-Boyle at the 15th annual Diabetes Day on November 14. This year’s theme- “Exploring Diabetes”- is geared toward providing participants with the education and skills necessary to lead healthy lifestyle. Other guest speakers, cooking demonstrations, screenings and mini-lectures will support the theme of embarking on a journey to health and wellness.
Local chef Katie Cavuto-Boyle, is the owner of Healthy Bites, a Philadelphia-based company that provides nutrition ideas, catering, meal delivery and personal chef services. Katie has recently appeared on the Rachel Ray Show, the NBC 10 Show, Good Day Philadelphia, Philadelphia Magazine and many other local and national publications and media. She will exhibit her culinary skills during a cooking demonstration, while providing nutritional guidance to inspire participants to create simple, healthy and delicious meals.
Robert Braun, a Sanofi Aventis A1C Champion, will additionally be featured as key-note speaker. Mr. Braun will discuss his first hand experience as an individual living with and managing diabetes and provide some helpful insights on successfully managing diabetes.
