Birchrun Hills Farm to Host Fall Market on Thurs., Sept. 29!

Birchrun Hills Farm‘s farm market returns this fall, on Thursday, Sept. 29 from 2 – 6 pm.

At the request of many of the farm’s friends, Sue and Ken Miller are excited to be offering their veal, pork, beef and cheese (see cheese lineup below) from the farm, plus various goods from area-wide providers. This week’s special guest will be Chef Julie Zlogar of The Wooden Spoon, serving up specialty prepared foods for take-out, or to enjoy at the market.

You’ll additionally be able to catch other local producers’ vending, including Oley Valley Mushrooms, Sweet Water Bakery (wood-fried brick-oven bread), Pure Blend Teas (Matcha Green Tea, Matcha Chai Lattes, Iced Tea, Organic Sea Salts, etc.), Wild Indigo (seasonal greens, eggs, honey), The Cob Studio (functional pottery) and The Wildflower Cafe (organic baked goods, granola).

Get excited, cheese lovers – Birchrun Hills will feature the following raw milk cheeses this week:

  • Little Chardy, a camembert style cheese.
  • Birchrun Blue, a delicate buttery blue.
  • Equinox, a combo of  alpine style cheeses that results in a very creamy, smooth, nutty cheese
  • Fat Cat, featuring an earthy tangy quality with a pear-like finish
  • Honey & Sea Salt Spread
  • Summer Herb & Garlic Spread
  • Red Cat
The farm market takes up shape at the Millers’ garage at the farmhouse, located at 2573 Horseshoe Trail in Chester Springs. More details available by clicking here. Learn more about Birchrun Hills Farm at birchrunhillsfarm.com.
