Honey Fest, an annual charity music and arts festival, returns to Downingtown for its second year on the weekend of August 19 – 21!
This year, they announce that Honey Fest is now a camp out event and is held at the 600-acre Paradise Farm Camps.
The weekend event is held to raise awareness and funds for the fight against PKD (Polycystic Kidney Disease), a cause that affects 12.5 million people worldwide. It is a cause close to the organizers, as it has recently taken a loved one and threatens their family.
PKD is one of the most common, genetic life-threatening disease affecting 600,000 Americans and 12.5 million people worldwide. However, it is widely unknown, and as a result, the least funded of all of those diseases.
Over a dozen bands will take the stages in honor of this cause, playing a mix of psychedelic sounds, funky soul blues, experimental fusion, blues-rock and much more. Participating entertainment lineup includes Honey Juice, Los Huevos, Solar Wind, Psynautic, Sheltered Turtle, Synth Sircus, Local Dub, Trouble City All-Stars Reggae Band, Fikus, Tommy’s Frolic Magic 8 Ball, Second Self and Scott Wham.
Along with the endless roundup of live music, the family-friendly fest will feature all-ages games, laser tag and even, a human hamster ball. The camp offers vast camping out and hiking space, plus the opportunity to fish and canoe.
Tickets are available online. All proceeds benefit to the Polycystic Kidney Disease Foundation. Find Paradise Farms Camp at 1300 Valley Creek Road in Downingtown. More information available at www.honeyfest.org.
