Join Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture (PASA) for their upcoming Harvest Benefit Dinner, to be held on Sat., Oct. 29 at 5 pm at the John J. Jeffries Restaurant (300 Harrisburg Avenue, Lancaster).
The evening will jump-start with a festive reception featuring Artisan Cheeses, Regional Fruits & Local Breads, followed by a four-‐course meal including Soup du Jour of Seasonal Ingredients, Local Lettuce Salad, and an entrée choice of Seasonally Prepared Grass Fed Beef, Wild Caught Salmon, or the Seasonal Vegetarian. The evening’s meal will conclude with an incredible selection of desserts, as well, with regional beers and wines included.
PASA applauds Chef Cavanaugh & Chef Carson of the John J. Jeffries Restaurant. Their dedication to sourcing local ingredients for their menus is unmatched in this area and PASA is proud to host their dinner at the establishment. Their unique approach to dining is based on their genuine belief in a sustainable Lancaster and local food–based economy. Their support of regional sustainable farmers means they use meats raised naturally, produce grown organically, and wholesome dairy products free of artificial hormones. They have opened their doors to the PASA family for a lovely evening this fall to taste the excellence of a local “farm to table” meal.
Phoenixville’s own Terry Brett from Kimberton Whole Foods was selected as the event’s honored guest and featured speaker. Since Kimberton Whole Foods’ mission beautifully reflects what PASA promotes, they are delighted to feature this local business owner. Brett, who is passionate about helping regional and organic farms market their products and be self-sustaining, works diligently with his team to purchase from over 70 regional growers and artisans.
Tickets are available at $150 per person, or $275 per couple. Tables of 8 are available for $1500. Your ticket purchase shows that you not only appreciate good food and the farmers who grow it, but you also understand the importance of supporting PASA, a strong organization that advocates for vibrant local food systems.
Dress is casual, and all proceeds benefit the Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture with a portion of the ticket price is tax-deductible. To purchase tickets, contact Cassie Caldwell at [email protected] or 814-349-9856, ext. 12.
