Seeking Insomiknitac, Yarn Bombing Documentary

Back in July, WCDish published a feature on the newest trend in tagging, the art of yarn bombing. In order to scribe the feature, Dish writer Leslie Weinberg had to secure an interview with West Chester’s own elusive guerrilla knitter, identified under the moniker “Insomiknitac.” (Click here to read the full feature story.)

After Weinberg’s story went live and to print in Chester Co. Cuisine & Nightlife, loads of locals became mesmerized by the peaceful stitched tags ’round town. In turn, Dish’s own Jim Breslin decided craft a West Chester Story Slam documentary celebrating the area’s newest art movement. Watch the full film below (and, be sure to spot Weinberg make an appearance, as well as another Dish writer, Evan Wawrzyniak).

And, as Ms. Yarn Bomber reveals in the above film, she “must continue finding yarn to bomb with.” Have you seen her last tag, one that she says is her “love letter to West Chester”?
