There’s already been a great deal of buzz surrounding this year’s Taste of the Nation Philadelphia — the annual chef-driven event that raises thousands of dollars each year to feed hungry children.
Nationally, Share Our Strength’s Taste of the Nation® is the premier culinary benefit dedicated to making sure no kid in America grows up hungry, and the organization’s goal is to raise the critical funds needed to end childhood hunger in America by 2015. Philadelphia’s 2010 event raised more than $50,000 for area initiatives.
As attendees join together to support a very special cause, Philadelphia’s most celebrated chefs and bartenders will help make it a night to remember.
Thanks to Belukus Marketing, Inc., world-renowned craft beer and specialty ale importer, an exciting array of brews will be available at Taste of the Nation for the first time. And, the selection of Lefebvre Blanche de Bruxelles, Wells Bombardier Ale, Wells Banana Bread Ale, Young’s Double Chocolate Stout & Timmermans Strawberry Lambic
will surely bring back the Philly Beer Week excitement — if only for a night!
Beyond beer, guests are invited to sip cocktails created by the city’s most talented bartenders from top destinations such as The Farmer’s Cabinet, The Franklin Mortgage & Investment Co., Noble Cookery, Village Whiskey, and Time.
As always, guests will enjoy delectable light bites prepared and presented by area restaurants, including Blackfish, Lacroix at the Rittenhouse, Fish, Oyster House, Mémé, Fond, Modo Mio, Han Dynasty, Square 1682, Cochon and Bar Ferdinand. Chef Chair Jennifer Carroll of 10 Arts Bistro & Lounge by Eric Ripert will also get in on the action.
Local sponsors include Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Loews Philadelphia Hotel, Groupon, Pernod Ricard, Acqua Panna and S. Pellegrino Sparkling Natural Mineral Water.
Tickets for the June 20th event at Millennium Ballroom in the Loews Hotel cost $85 for general admission, and $135 for VIP [with an extra hour and first dibs at all the first rate fare]. To purchase tickets, visit: TasteOfTheNation.org/Philadelphia
