The 2nd Annual West Chester STOMPS Cancer 5K & Fun Run is coming to town, on Friday, September 30.
Beginning and ending at Barnaby’s (15 S. High St.), all locals are invited to come out and STOMP cancer with the Great Guys Group! Over 106,000 people in the Greater Philadelphia Area alone are struggling with cancer today. This race’s goal is to STOMP for those 106,000 people that need love and support. Each runner is encouraged to raise pledges to help support the 106,0000 and help Great Guys Group “bring hope home” to local cancer patients by directly paying for their bills during their cancer battle.
Registration for the race begins at 5pm at Barnaby’s, with the 5K starting at 6:30pm and the walk at 6:35pm. To view the run/walk’s route, click here. The goal for individual races is to raise $106 for the 106,000. For teams, the suggested goal to raise is $212 (or more)! Prizes will be awarded to the fundraising individual and team that raises the most money.
It is exciting news that this race is going to be the biggest race that Great Guys has ever had – in regards to participants, sponsors and overall community involvement! They can’t wait, and we want YOU to stomp with them! The STOMPS gang urges you to get involved with their organization and share your STOMP story, so they can Bring Hope Home together to local cancer patients and benefit the local non-profit Great Guys Group.
The STOMPS Cancer Race of WC benefits the Great Guys Group (GGG)–a local 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to Bringing Hope Home to local cancer patients and their families in the area-wide community by directly paying for bills to alleviate the stress and financial burdens that cancer brings. The Great Guys Group provides a light of hope to local families battling cancer in an extremely hard time by directly paying bills to keep them: In their homes, with the lights on and heat and AC pumped up, plus making sure phones are working, and food is on the table. All of the funds raised by GGG are raised at ‘home’ and stay at ‘home’ in the area.
