Booths from more than 60 restaurants will line Gay Street in West Chester this Sun., Sept. 18 during the 32nd Annual Restaurant Festival, held noon to 5:30 p.m.
Whether you want to nosh Amani’s BYOB’s Gulf shrimp tacos with Oaxaca cheese and cilantro lime aioli, gobble Straughen’s Catering’s deep-fried lobster mac and cheese bites, sample Social Lounge’s Carolina-styled pork sliders done two ways, or sink your teeth into Cakes and Candies by Maryellen’s Oreo CakePops, the options are endless at this downtown food event.
And, after you taste-test your way through the county-wide restaurant scene, don’t forget to vote for our Town Dish Choice Awards! Our local network of food websites (i.e. WCDish.com, DowningtownDish.com, KennettSquareDish.com, etc.) is giving all attendees their chance to be a food critic.
Discover the restaurant festival, bite after bite, and then, whip out your cell phone and punch in the code of your favorite appetizer, entree and dessert to 41411. Each food booth will have its own corresponding code, so guests can simply text their picks to PA Eats (one per category, please). Whichever restaurant receives the highest votes per category will be awarded at the end of the festival, at 5:30 pm. Winners will additionally be announced on this website, with each receiving their own feature article detailing their award-winning dish.
Additional must-have bites in the running for this year’s Choice Awards include Landmark Americana’s Buffalo wings, Mas Mexicali Cantina’s mini chimi with guacamole and chips, Pistachio’s Bang Bang Chicken, Ryan’s Pub’s chicken cheesesteak won-tons, Gadaleto’s Seafood Market’s crab cakes, City 2 Shore Cuisine’s edamame gnocchi, Dia Doce’s pie cupcake and Olive Branch’s Strawberry Corn Cream Cap’n Crunch Cake.
