Annual West Chester Cookoff Wants Your Best Darn Chili – Early Bird Sign Up Special

Have friends or family ever said “you make the best darn chili?” If so, then why not put it on a true chopping block? Granted, family can sometimes provide the toughest love of all, your chili is not a real winner until it takes home the ultimate award!

The Rotary Club of West Chester is returning on Sunday, October 14 from 12 to 3pm for their 10th Annual Chili Cookoff. Now is a great time to save the date for your attendance but an even better time to register yourself and/or your cooking team in the biggest, baddest, and best Chester County chili competition. It doesn’t matter if your secret concoction is sweet, spicy, savory or sour. Well, maybe a sour chili would be a little bit strange but the point is they want them all!

Plus, if you enter now, before July 1, you can take advantage of the Early Bird Special! This includes:

  • A FREE tent Package
  • A 100% Refund of your entry fee once you have competed
  • Savings of up to $260
  • Exposure to over 5,000 people (what a great way to market your business)

This offer will not last so take action today! Consider it your first step toward being a part of chili history and supporting a great cause all at the same time. Last year, West Chester Rotary was able to raise thousands of dollars to give back to the community just by making chili & having fun. If you are a Hometown Cook, a Restaurant, a Business or a Non-Profit ,they want YOU!

Fill out the Team Application to sign your crew up today. Winner could walk home with a $300 Cash Prize which is up for grabs. If you need more information or have questions, please contact Sue Karr at 610-436-4400 or email [email protected]. The final deadline to enter is Thursday, September 15.

If you’re interested in attending, but don’t think you have what it takes to compete, that’s no big chili tasting deal! Everyone and their grandmother is welcome to join for a full day of food and fun activities. All-You-Can-Eat Wristbands are $10 and  there will be plenty of vendors to visit, displaying various offerings from art to delicious treats. Wristbands will be sold as early as 10:30 at the entrance gate on the big day!

Looking to display  your homemade craft, promote a business, or serve (un-juried) food? Hop on board as a vendor! There are still spots open for the 2012 Chili Cookoff and with the street expansion this year, there’s more room than ever before! It’s easy to apply online, where different vendor options and pricing details are listed. With thousands in attendance, there is no better place to get the marketing bang for your buck and show off your culinary skills.

As always, there will be live music, great company, and your kids will feel right at home thanks to the fun activities for every age.

The official website is still being updated as details unfold but be sure to check their Facebook for frequent alerts and enter your team before Sunday, July 1 for an early bird special so cool….it’s chili!
