The beer gods have finally answered our prayers – a full-blown Ballast Point Tap Takeover is coming to Side Bar & Restaurant on Aug. 7th, 2012 (you better start saving the date!).
We thought we were in brew-infused heaven when we shook hands with the mastermind of Ballast Point (Colby Chandler) back in June, at Philly Beer Week’s Forum of the Brewing Gods, but then, when we saw Side Bar’s tap take list, we knew our summer was about to get even brighter.
To be clear, this event will feature numerous Ballast Point brews on tap that are rarely found on the East Coast (especially in the suburbs of Philadelphia). So far the tap list from the San Diego-based brewery is as follows (visit Side Bar’s site for tap updates here):

Representatives from Bella Vista Distributors will be on hand for this event, and they’ll have some giveaways from Ballast Point during “Mystery Box” Trivia that starts at 10pm!
