There’s no doubt ice cream season is here. It’s time to celebrate the rich, creamy goodness of the cold delight and Swarthmore Co-op has a few tricks up their sleeve for doing so. This hot Summer, they want you to do more than buy the ice cream. It’s time to get your hands dirty and create your own frozen treat, in more way than one!
Beginners Homemade Ice Cream Class
Monday, June 25 (7:30 – 9pm)

Learn to make homemade ice cream – creamy, delicious, and easy when the instructor is master frozen treat maker, Lex Rozin. He will take guests through the classic Neapolitan trio of vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry, using basic techniques that you can adapt to make any flavor, from lavender to passion fruit to bacon. There will HAVE to be sampling and then you can even take some home! Register HERE.
Ice Cream Sundaes, the Swarthmore Co-op Way
Friday, July 6 (5:30-7:30pm) Members $3, Future/Non-members $3.50Build your own Ice Cream Sundae at the Swarthmore Co-op! They will be using local favorite, Bassett’s Ice Cream, Fair Trade Chocolate sauce, Organic nuts, Local fruit, Whipped Cream made from Organic milk and more. Stop by the Co-op, pay at the register and create away! It’s always better when you can reap the benefits of your own hard work, especially when the finest ingredients are used!
