Chester County Historical Society to Host “Boomers’ Dance Concert”

The 60s and 70s were such a grand time that the Chester County Historical Society has decided to bring them back for one night and one night only. If you’re looking for a fun flashback, then there is no other place to go! Join the CCHS crew and Big G and the Cool Cats on Friday, September 7th at 7:30 p.m. for a “Boomers’ Dance Concert.”

The eleven member horn band will be performing the great songs of the 60s and 70s with a special tribute to the greatest Horn Bands in the U.S.A., Chicago and Blood Sweat and Tears.  Guests are invited to get down to the tunes as two vocalists sing Motown favorites like “I Heard It Through The Grape Vine”, “Domino”, “I Will Survive”, “Natural Woman”, “Respect”, “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” and more.

Refreshments will be served and there will be door prizes too! Better yet, the event is BYOB, so don’t skip hitting Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant pre-event and grab a growler to-go. Don’t be afraid to swing by and enjoy the jivin’ music. Admission is $12 for members of the Chester County Historical Society or $15 for non-members.  Tickets are available now at the Historical Society and Taylor’s Music Store (116 W. Gay St, West Chester). If you’re on the fence about attending due to a busy schedule then you can always grab your tickets at the door.

The Historical Society is located on 225 N. High Street in West Chester. Easy garage parking is one-half block away. For more information call Big George Whittam at 610.324.2143.
