Chester County Homebrew Fest Returns for its Second Year, June 23

Craft beer and microbreweries have shocked inspiration into so many Americans these past couple of years that if you don’t know somebody who brews their on beer, we don’t know where you’ve been. Needless to say, friends with a homebrewer or not, the craze is spreading like wildfire. Some do it for fun, rarely producing a good batch but others have perfected their hobby. The latter of the two are growing so rapidly, they even have a festival to call their own; The Homebrew Fest. Back for its second year, the festival has chosen a Summer date to celebrate homebrewers in 2012, after an unexpected snowfall during last year’s event. It will take place Saturday, June 23 from 6 to 10 pm at Elks Lodge #853.

Homebrew Fest is a time to showcase the area’s homebrewers. It’s a charity event that features several brew teams who compete for your vote for Best Homebrewer! All proceeds benefit the West Chester Elks Lodge’s charities. Those who attend will receive a souvenir pint glass, dinner, entertainment by Rob Perna, of the New Kings of Rythm, and the opportunity to vote for the best Homebrewer! Does it seem like something is missing there? Oh yes, and FREE SAMPLES! Of course, you wouldn’t be asked to vote for the Best Homebrewer without tasting the magic mix first! There will also be pool, darts, and the best shuffleboard table in Chester County!

Advanced tickets for the event are $35. They can be purchased through the even organizers by emailing [email protected], or online through the Homebrew Fest website. Tickets may be available at the door, if enough remain, for an additional cost.

Ticket sales are limited so buy tickets early!
