Muse Restaurant to Host Spodee “Wine with a Kick” Pairing Dinner, Jan. 25

Spodee has been quite the craze ever since this wine with a kick hit the Philadelphia market back in early May. A sip inspired by the Depression era, Spodee is modeled after a beverage that was deceptively strong, sweet, easy-to drink and made from a mix of country wine and whatever else was lying around the farm – fruits, herbs, spices and of course moonshine.

The wine can be mixed into cocktails and, according to Muse‘s Executive Chef Hall, used in cooking as well! He’s a big fan of splashing the unique craft wine into a dish here or there. He is such a big fan that on Friday, January 25th, Muse will host the first ever “Wine with a Kick” Pairing Dinner from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Aside from the depression era hooch, all other ingredients and menu items are yet to be determined. However, if you’re super curious and can’t wait until January 25th, stop in Muse to try their Spodee braised short ribs over house corn bread and apple cider vinaigrette slaw. You won’t find a dish like it anywhere else!
