New Year, new entertainment. Head to People’s Light & Theatre Company for their performance of William Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale. It’s the perfect way to start your 2013 exploration of the arts. Their reinvention of Shakespeare’s classic tale will feature kings and queens, revenge and betrayal, spanning countries, seasons, decades, and generations. Inspired by ancient pagan festivals, People’s production will also feature live music, dance, food and merriment. They invite you to join them one half hour before the performance to see the transformation of the theatre and participate in the festivities.
It’s sure to be an excellent performance since the crew has been dancing “The Impossible Dance” both to celebrate the arrival of Winter and to prepare for their production of Shakespeare’s tale. They hope you’ll get in on the action, too, by sharing your own Winter Solstice photos on their Facebook page or Twitter, as the seasonal tradition has played an important role in the lives of cultures for centuries. Don’t forget to use the hashtag #WintersTale when doing so.
Those interested in experiencing the spectacular production may purchase their tickets by calling 610.644.3500 or visiting People’s Light & Theatre’s website.
