Believe it or not, fall is just around the corner. Mark your calendars to celebrate the bounty of the season at Hillside Farm‘s Annual Harvest Festival on Saturday, September 28! The festival takes place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Support sustainable agriculture in Pennsylvania at this fun, family-oriented event, with activities like hayrides, sack races, educational activities, homestead demonstrations and a visit from the Farm Explorer, Greener Partners’ 24-foot custom-built trailer equipped with garden beds and a mobile kitchen. Great food is in store, too, with locally sourced hamburgers, hot dogs and cobb oven pizzas and veggie burgers created by the Greener Partners farmers.
One of the highlights of the event is the Pie Bake-Off, with the winner receiving a half-share in Hillside Farm’s CSA. Think you’ve got what it takes to win? Enter here.
Admission the the Harvest Festival is free. Tickets will be sold inside to buy local food items, enter various competitions and play fun and educational games.
