Historic Sugartown is known by many throughout the Chester County area and beyond as a rural crossroads village dating back to the late 18th century. However, soon enough, even more people will know about the quaint compilation of buildings nestled in Malvern, PA.
With the recent appointment of Heather P. Reiffer as the organization’s first Executive Director, Historic Sugartown’s Board of Directors hopes to further professionalize the organization and place it on a stronger footing to ensure its long-term sustainability. Heather plans to use her impressive skills developed from fifteen years of leadership experience in historic site administration and nonprofit management to build Sugartown’s presence as a local historical resource and expand their ties with the local community.
Historic Sugartown is currently open Saturdays during the summer months or by appointment throughout the year so don’t miss taking a peek into the past when you have a chance. In addition, educational programs and school tours are also available.
The organization’s annual Historic Sugartown Day event will be held on Saturday, April 27th, 2013. For more information, contact 610-640-2667 or visit HistoricSugartown.org.
