Side Bar & Restaurant to Host Brewers Art Tap Takeover

Join Side Bar & Restaurant and representatives from The Brewer’s Art on Saturday, May 11, for the restaurant’s first The Brewer’s Art Beer Event! Side Bar will be serving up some pretty amazing brews—three of which they’ll be pouring for the very first time ever in West Chester! Check out the list:

Odalisque (7%) is a farmhouse ale brewed with barley, spelt and rye. Hyssop and honeysuckle, in addition to East Kent Golding and Strisselspalt hops, are added for one unique botanical brew.

Dorothea (5%) is a tribute to the Ephemerella Dorothea or Mayfly (a popular fly fishing lure). Barley, some wheat and caramel wheat malts are used in the brew. The beer, created to support Trout Unlimited, benefits trout stream restoration on the Gunpowder River.

Wu-yi (5%) is a pale ale brewed with Souchong Oolong tea, which lends a subtle smokey aroma and flavor.

Ozzy (7.3%) is The Brewer’s Art’s tribute to the devil beers of Belgium. This golden strong ale with a unique yeast quality has subtle hop aromas from Styrian Goldings.

Side Bar & Restaurant is located at 10 E. Gay Street in West Chester; phone: (610) 429-8297.
