Tune in to WCHE 1520 AM this Friday, June 28, from noon to 1 p.m. for Eat, Drink & Dish. PA Eats’s President/Co-founder Mary Bigham will be hosting the show today and inviting a couple guests to chat about some very unique topics.
1. Kirsten Van Vlandren—Director, TEDx Phoenixville
Have you heard about TED? It started out in 1984 as a conference bringing together people from three worlds: Technology, Entertainment, Design. Since then the scope has become ever broader, expanding to local communities in the form of TEDx, where conferences give organizations and individuals the opportunity to stimulate dialogue at the local level. TEDx events are fully planned and coordinated independently, on a community-by-community basis. One of those communities is right here in Chester County. It’s TEDx Phoenixville and Mary will be chatting with Kirsten Van Vlandren, the Director of TEDx Phoenixville, to fill us in on what’s been happening and what’s to come!
2. Matthew Gray—Owner/Operator, Hawaii Food Tours
A former Chef and Radio Talk-Show Host from Los Angeles, Matt’s road to becoming Hawaii’s Ambassador for those who love food and fun has included working with the Eagles “Hotel California Tour,” personal chef stints for the likes of Pink Floyd, Fleetwood Mac, Robin Williams, and Henry Kissinger, plus plenty of food writing. He’s hopping on the line all the way from Hawaii to fill Mary in on the delicious details that led him to start such an amazing company and how YOU can get a taste of Hawaii, the fun and delicious way.
The show may be streamed live HERE. Enjoy!
A big “thank you” goes out to this week’s sponsors: America’s Pie, Downingtown Country Club, Kati Mac Floral Design and Cakes and Candies by Maryellen.
