West Chester hit the big time on Wednesday, May 29, when Philly Fox TV 29 featured the borough in its “Jenny on the Block” segment on the Good Day morning show!
As host Jenn Frederick says, “When they come out in West Chester, they come out in a big way.” Yes indeed—and many of our foodie favorites were featured, too! Mayor Carolyn Comitta gifted Jenny some Eclat Chocolate. Maryellen Bowers of Cakes & Candies by Maryellen appeared with mini cupcakes for locals. Jenny visited Penn’s Table for a taste of its signature Jenny omelet. And we also noted shoutouts for Side Bar & Restaurant, Limoncello Ristorante, Mas Mexicali Cantina and Carlino’s.
It wasn’t just about the food, though. Jenny popped into Malena’s Vintage Boutique, Fairman’s, Tish Boutique and Bella & Betty. Malcolm Johnstone spoke about West Chester’s BID, and the Chester County Historical Society gave the scoop on how they amp up the culture in the borough. Jenny also made sure to give a shoutout for the upcoming Gallery Walk.
