On May 13, four local students received wonderful acknowledgement and scholarship funds so that they may pursue an education in the hospitality industry. The Brandywine Chapter of the PA Restaurant & Lodging Association (PRLA) presented Mark Schostak, Mary Higgins, Keyion Briscoe and Tim Fris with $3,600 in scholarships.
The scholarships were awarded to those who are pursuing a hospitality industry education. The Brandywine Chapter of the PRLA, led by Chapter President Bill Covaleski, President and Brewmaster of Victory Brewing Company, raises money from various events, including the Back to School golf outing, so that they may provide scholarship opportunities to students pursuing hospitality degrees.
