La Tez BYOB Coming to Havertown in Former Home of Kaya’s Fusion Cuisine

We’re sad to report that Kaya’s Fusion Cuisine has announced that they will be closing their doors as of April 1. Kaya’s has been serving the Havertown community for six years with their unique blend of contemporary American food with global influences.

Kaya's

Owners Jessica and Michael Hawthorne state via their website:

“Kaya’s will be closing our doors on March 29th and opening new doors into the next chapter in our lives. We are pleased to pass the torch to restauranteurs Phil Ferro and Dan Prazenica who will be taking over the lease and opening La Tez – a Mexican tapas BYOB complete with Margarita & cocktail mixers.”

They continue, “We ask you to come and check out what they have to offer, as it will be Havertown’s first and only restaurant of this genre! Chef Mike (and) I would like to thank all our faithful regulars and our families for your love and support over the last 6 years, as it has been an amazing chapter in our lives. We hope that you will find the time to gather friends and family and come in for one “last supper.”

La Tez has kindly offered to honor all Kaya’s gift certificates purchased in the last year (April 2013 to present, excluding Living Social & Amazon promotions).

Welcome to the neighborhood La Tez, we can’t wait to try you out. Thanks for the great meals, Kaya’s!
