Pennsylvania Bacon Festival Comes to Philadelphia with 30+ Vendors (May 10)

It has been said that everything is better with bacon so the folks from America Loves Bacon are bringing the inaugural Pennsylvania Bacon Festival to The Piazza at Schmidts on May 10 from noon–10 p.m.

This extraordinary culinary adventure will be all the fun of a bacon themed block party mixed with a full scale festival experience. Join in the fun as over 30 of the area’s top restaurants and food trucks, several of the area’s top bands, and thousands of the area’s top food lovers gather to celebrate an American tradition- bacon!

The event will feature plenty of food vendors allowing you the unique opportunity to sample each of their multiple creations as well as purchase full size dishes. Expect a wide variety of everything bacon from appetizers to desserts and everything in between.

There will also be  non-food vendors selling bacon related wares, live music, demos, a bacon eating contest and full service bars.

One of the highlights of the Pennsylvania Bacon Festival will be The 2014 Pennsylvania Bacon-Off. Get ready for the biggest bacon battle your taste buds have every seen – participating Chef’s & Mixologists will show off their skills in one of the largest bacon battles to happen since America was born. Participants will compete in one or more of 4 categories – appetizers, entrees, dessert or cocktails – to see who will reign supreme in their respective league.

General admission tickets start at $20 per person with VIP tickets available for $70 each. Children under 8 are free. All tickets can be purchased here.
