Lancaster’s Ma(i)son Scores Buzz-Worthy Visit from Food Network’s Alton Brown

Do you respect the culinary opinions of Food Network star Alton Brown? He visited a restaurant in downtown Lancaster in early December, and he only had great things to say!

During a visit to Ma(i)son, the host of Cutthroat Kitchen posted a photo on his Facebook page and commented, “If you’re anywhere near Ma(i)son in Lancaster, PA and you’re not having the mushroom gnocchi … what’s wrong with you? @maisonpa.”

By 8:15 p.m. that evening his post had collected nearly 3,000 likes and more than 200 shares. But this isn’t the first time Ma(i)son has garnered national attention. This past June, the New York Times published a story titled “Amish Country Embraces Farm-to-Table,” which highlighted five businesses including Ma(i)son.

The husband-and-wife team of Taylor Mason and Leeann Robustelli Mason opened Ma(i)son in 2011, taking the name from the French maison, which means “house,” and their surname.

For more information about Ma(i)son, visit the restaurant’s website and follow along on Facebook.
