Brunch-lovers in the ‘burbs: Get excited! A Main Line outpost of Philly’s popular breakfast, brunch and lunch spot, Café Lift, will open in Narberth in the spring of 2018. Michael Pasquarello, owner of Philadelphia’s 13th Street Kitchens (the restaurant group that includes Café Lift, Prohibition Taproom, Bufad and Kensington Quarters) along with his wife Jeniphur, will export to the new Narberth location the seasonally sourced, signature brunch dishes that are well-loved at Café Lift, such as Cannoli French Toast, Jen’s Crespelle and the impressive breakfast burrito.

Heading up the kitchen will be Chef Josiah Richmond, who runs the kitchen operations at Café Lift and collaborates on the menus with Pasquarello. At the Narberth Café Lift, he’ll add some specials and an expanded selection of to-go baked goods. The best news of all: This location will have a liquor license! That means they’ll have, among a long list of libations, creative brunch cocktails and prosecco on draft.
Café Lift Narberth will be located at 724 Montgomery Avenue in the former Royal Bank branch location. There’s no need to rush over just yet, as the entire building is currently under construction. To outfit the space, Pasquarello has enlisted Ian Chapin of Edsel Co. Chapin has worked with Rival Bros Coffee, Bud & Marilyn’s and Pub & Kitchen and is known for his metalworking and woodworking skills, and for his keen eye for capsuling time and building it out in the grand design. Café Lift Narberth will be nearly double the size of Café Lift in Philly, with approximately 65 seats, including a retractable front window that opens to a landscaped terrace. Sounds pretty perfect for spring brunching, eh?!
