Dinner is Done with Gadaleto’s Summer Takeout Menu

Cross dinner off your to-do list, because Gadaleto’s Seafood Market has you covered. With a mouthwatering new takeout menu, Gadaleto’s brings the freshest seafood in the area right to your dinner table.

In addition to takeout, Gadaleto’s continues to offer the best for summer seafood feasts with fresh delights you can’t get anywhere else.

We spoke with chef Aaron Wilson, who gave us the inside scoop on what’s flying off the shelves at Gadaleto’s Seafood Market this summer.

The Freshest Catch, Cooked to Order

Fine-dining restaurants across Chester County look to Gadaleto’s as the go-to seafood supplier in the region. If you order a dish in a local restaurant that includes squid or fish, odds are it came from Gadaleto’s.

Gadaleto’s fully equipped kitchen in its new home in the Westtown Village Shopping Center means it can offer incomparably fresh seafood directly to you right out of the case and cooked to order.

Simply call ahead with your order and it’ll be ready and waiting in under 20 minutes. The menu of soups, salads, sandwiches and entrees spans from favorite comfort foods to savory and inventive cuisine. Gadaleto’s will also take custom orders for salads. Choose your favorite fresh fish filet to be cooked and served atop a bed of greens for a lean and scrumptious summertime meal.

Enjoy homemade soups like crab and corn chowder with Caribbean spices and fresh, local corn from Pete’s Produce Farm and a knockout lobster bisque. Appetizers such as fried calamari with Thai chili or grouper bites kick things off with fantastic flavor. Entrees include a delectable, blackened dry sea scallops salad with lime vinaigrette and a soft shell crab BLT or platter, both available for the season and wildly popular. Weekly specials are designed by chef Aaron to highlight the seasonal produce from Pete’s that’s at its absolute peak.

Seafood Fest

Chef Aaron reports that “the Maryland crabs are flowing” for the summer. Each morning, he’s met with 10–15 orders for the day ahead. “They fly out the door,” he says.

Gadaleto’s has soft and hard shell crab available all summer long and will steam any order for you. Sold by the the dozen half bushel and bushel the crabs come in four sizes ranging from number 2, Large Number 1, Xl and the most sought after Jumbo. Each crab is individually sized by Andy. Aaron encourages customers to call ahead to get exactly what they’re looking for. “Give us a time and then come and pick it up,” he says.

Like crabs, clams are another huge summertime hit at Gadaleto’s. Aaron says, “The steamers are always going,” with oysters and mussels rounding out the menu of mollusks. Fresh, never-frozen shrimp from Apalachicola, Florida —a Gadaleto’s signature item—come with housemade cocktail sauce and can be ordered in party platter form.

The array of irresistible seafood treats at Gadaleto’s, made to order, awaits your next backyard party or dinner on the deck.

Fish Filets and More

Hues of blue, silver and orange glisten from beneath the glass display counters at Gadaleto’s, where the day’s fresh fish filets are unmatched in quality and flavor.

Right now, find the first of the season’s wild-caught Alaskan sockeye salmon from Copper River and wild king. Unavailable elsewhere, this amazingly healthy fish goes great on the grill.

Aaron says other seasonal favorites include grouper, halibut, striper, swordfish, sushi-grade tuna and large, dry packed sea scallops.

Beyond its housemade cocktail sauce, Gadaleto’s offers tartar and creole honey mustard. A pair of salsas make lovely accompaniments and hors d’oeuvres. Gadaleto’s mango salsa has bell peppers, cilantro and lime, while the grilled corn salsa is made with red bell peppers, roasted poblano peppers, parsley, lemon and garlic.

When your next seafood craving hits, remember to call Gadaleto’s. Of the cooked-to-order takeout and custom seafood feasts, chef Aaron puts it best: “It can’t get any fresher than that.”
