There are so many great food and drink-related events in Philly that it can be difficult to narrow down the options when planning your weekends. In order to make the decision-making process a bit less daunting, we’ve compiled a list of four upcoming events that you just can’t miss:

Tiki Night at Burg’s (April 5)

events in Philadelphia

Burg’s Hideaway Lounge, Point Breeze’s tiki-inspired hidden oasis, is welcoming warmer weather with a spring pop-up event on Thursday, April 5, from 5–7 p.m. Guests will enjoy brand-new outdoor seating, in addition to new seasonal dishes and canned tiki cocktails, featuring Austin Eastciders. Don’t worry — if the weather is terrible, there’s plenty of seating inside, too!

Burg’s new menu mainstay, the Grapefruit Paloma, will make its debut Thursday and will be joined by two tropical dressed can cocktails ($9 each) available only during the April 5 event:

  • Grapefruit Paloma: Grapefruit Austin Eastciders, tequila, curaçao, lime and dressed with mint and an orchid flower
  • Mai Tai on the Fly: Pineapple Austin Eastciders, spiced rum, dark rum, amaretto and topped with pineapple and cherry
  • Sayonara Punch: Blood Orange Austin Eastciders, sake, curaçao and decorated with orange and mint.

The new Polynesian-inspired menu include sesame noodles with spicy Szechuan pepper and crispy garlic; tangy kimchi mushroom dumplings with soy dipping sauce; and miso salmon served with crispy coconut rice cake and garlic chives.

“After months of anticipating warmer weather, we are excited to host a friendly get-together to debut Burg’s expanded outdoor seating, spring dishes and offer beautifully dressed cans with Austin Eastciders,” said Jonathan Makar, food and beverage director for Burg’s Hideaway Lounge and sister restaurant, The Sidecar Bar and Grille. “Burg’s Hideaway Lounge offers our neighbors in Point Breeze an oasis with fresh menus, a changing beverage selection, and plenty of outdoor seating to connect with the people around you, are all things we try to offer at Burg’s.”
