How to Break Down a Pineapple

  • 1 fresh pineapple

  1. Lay down a whole fresh pineapple on its side, and cut off the green top with a sharp knife.
  2. Stand the pineapple up, and use a sharp knife to cut off the skin in a downward motion.
  3. Cut the pineapple in half and lay it flat, then cut those halves into quarters. Remove the fibrous core from each piece.
  4. Slice each quarter into strips, then dice each strip into bite-sized pieces.
