Comfort-Food Classics: How to Make Classic 3-Cheese Lasagna

There are a couple of recipes that every home cook should have in his or her back pocket: among them (in our humble opinion) are a killer mac and cheese, a drool-worthy pizza and a foolproof lasagna. Lasagna, or any baked pasta casserole for that matter, is what you want in the oven when you’ve got a a group of picky eaters coming over for dinner, or if you want to bake up a dish that will keep well in the fridge to pinch hit for lunches and dinners throughout the week.

There is no shortage of lasagna recipes out there, but we’re especially digging this Simple 6-Ingredient Lasagna from the American Dairy Association Northeast. Not only is it a breeze to assemble (oven-ready lasagna noodles are lifesavers!), but this recipe incorporates three luscious cheeses — we encourage you to seek out made-in-PA cheeses! — plus an interesting combo of tomato sauce and fresh tomatoes, for an extra serving of produce. Pro tip: Make a double batch and keep one in the freezer for dinner in a flash anytime you’re short on time!
