I’m sure we all say it every year… but it’s Thanksgiving already? Christmas decorations have already made an appearance, the Lifetime movies have begun — but wait, what are we going to eat on Turkey Day?
This year, spice things up a bit and add a twist to the traditional recipes. I know it’s hard to veer from the recipes that have been handed down, but I promise these recipes are worth it!
Pictured counterclockwise, from top left-hand corner:
- Slow-roasted green beans and garlic from A Sweet Spoonful
- Cranberry vodka spritzer from Lisa’s Dinnertime Dish
- Pumpkin rolls from Pastry Affair
- Roasted game hens via A Spicy Alternative
- Stuffing with sausage from The Kitchn
- Hasselback sweet potatoes with maple cinnamon butter via Confections of a Foodie Bride
- Pumpkin wontons with maple whipped cream from Sushi Day
- Potato and turnip gratin via Living to Dine
- Roasted rosemary orange turkey from Inspired Taste
- Maple roasted Brussels sprouts from Ambitious Kitchen
Hopefully this has made you hungry AND willing to try something a little different this year! Even if you just try one different recipe I assure you your guests will be asking for it by the end of the meal. Enjoy – and Happy Thanksgiving!
