Courtney Rozsas of Media’s Lotus Farm to Table has announced the opening of her second restaurant, Farmer’s Road Drive Thru! The opening is slated for Monday, April 22.
The fast, casual drive-through restaurant will emphasize healthy, local and sustainable ingredients in an eco-friendly environment and will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner six days a week, Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. On Sundays, the restaurant will be open for breakfast and lunch. The restaurant will have 30 seats indoors, 30 seats outdoors and an operational drive-through. Menu items will range from $6 to $9 per entrée. Ryan Sulikowski, Executive Chef of Lotus Farm to Table, will oversee the kitchen.
Sulikowski and Rozsas focused on creating a variety of heart-healthy—as well as gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian—options. More than 80 percent of the produce used by the restaurant will come from local farmers. 100 percent of meats and poultry will be sourced locally. Seasonal dishes will highlight the region’s products and traditions. Menu features include:
- Stadium Dog: all-natural grass-fed beef hot dog, sauerkraut (sodium free), low sodium yellow mustard, rye pretzel hotdog bun (option to substitute a vegetarian hot dog)
- Green Dog: Applegate all-natural grass-fed beef hot dog, avocado, watercress, rice cakes, whole-wheat hot dog bun (option to substitute vegetarian hot dog)
- Apple Sandwich: local cheddar, local organic American cheese, Granny Smith apple, raw honey, maple sourdough bread
- Beef Burger: grass-fed beef burger, local organic American cheese, turkey bacon, house dill pickle, lettuce, low sodium mustard, multigrain bun
- Buffalo Blue: all-natural grilled chicken breast, red onion, hot sauce, blue cheese, watercress, romaine, kettle cooked BBQ potato chips, whole wheat wrap
- Kids’ Meals: build-your-own bento box, with a choice of peanut butter and jelly (substitute fluff); baked gluten-free chicken tenders; or all-natural, nitrate-free hot dog, with a choice of pita chips and hummus, banana chips and Nutella, or apple cinnamon chips
- All meals will come with a soda from New Hope Soda Fountain
- Breakfast items will come with side order of cinnamon apple chips and coffee/juice
- Oatmeal bar at breakfast
- Homemade pickle bar for lunch and dinner
- Desserts include gluten-free chocolate chip cookies, Rice Krispie treats and Linvilla Orchards candy apples
The décor of The Farmer’s Road Drive Thru will utilize as many reclaimed and recycled materials as possible. Other eco-friendly touches include the use of non-toxic cleaning products and packaging, energy-efficient cooking equipment, LED lights and a recycling station.
