Half Moon Restaurant & Saloon Announces Closing, Last Day March 11

We’re sad to report that after almost 20 years in the business, Half Moon Restaurant & Saloon will be serving its last bison burger and famous crab nachos. Owners Scott and Kristin Hammond are closing the doors on Saturday, March 11. Half Moon shared the message via Facebook:

“Scott & Kristin have decided to retire! We have been here everyday for 20 years! We are super excited to turn things over to the new managing partners of GRAIN CRAFT BAR + KITCHEN, from Delaware! There will be a period of renovations in March/April before the new reopening! Last chance for crab nachos & wild game! We owe many thank yous to many years of wonderful great customers in a great community!”

After some renovations in March and April, Newark’s Grain Craft Bar & Kitchen will take over the space. Look for a menu featuring shareable plates like beer cheese fondue, nachos, wings and flatbreads plus salads, burgers and entrees like fish tacos and short rib ravioli.

Good luck in your retirement, Scott and Kristin!
