When you’re taking a break from shopping, there are many other ways to round out your visit to the Gettysburg area. The Outlet Shoppes is partnering with Hauser Estate Winery to bring you a Ladies Night Fashion Show on Wednesday, June 7. Enjoy a relaxing and fun night out at Hauser with your girlfriends from 6–10 p.m. Sample Hauser’s wine and cider and let The Outlet Shoppes at Gettysburg help prepare your wardrobe for summer. Participating stores include Maurice’s, Gap, Old Navy, Dress Barn and Tommy Hilfiger.

Looking for something a little spookier? Wrap up your shopping day with a Ghosts of Gettysburg Tour. Guides dressed in period clothing conduct evening tours along the streets of Gettysburg and on the old Pennsylvania College campus. If you think you can handle the spook, choose from four ghost walks varying in length of about an hour to almost two hours.

It’s only natural that in addition to shopping you may want to visit the Gettysburg National Military Park battlefield. You can also check out the Gettysburg Heritage Center and learn about the battle and how the townspeople reacted to this historic event taking place in and around their town.

The Outlet Shoppes are happily supporting many local festivals in 2017. The Outlet Shoppes will have a vendor booth at the PA Cider Fest, Saturday, June 24, at Hauser Estate Winery. Sample ciders from more than 20 Pennsylvania cideries and attend workshops with cidermakers. Be sure to shop the artisanal vendors and dine from the food trucks while soaking up the sun and sounds of live music. Shuttle service is available.

Craft beer lovers, plan your trip for the 4th Gettysburg Brew Fest, August 19, and experience 3½ hours of unlimited craft beer and cider sampling. Be sure to take advantage of the shuttle service.

The Gettysburg Wine & Music Festival, September 9–10, is another perfect excuse for a getaway weekend. Throw a blanket or a chair in the trunk (or buy a new one at the Outlets!) so you can sit on the grass savoring wine from 27 Pennsylvania wineries while listening to amazing live music.
