The Desmond Hotel Malvern, a DoubleTree by Hilton, Celebrates its Grand Re-Opening

The Desmond

Long-considered one of the premier hotels on the Main Line, the Desmond Hotel Malvern, a DoubleTree by Hilton hotel, celebrated its grand re-opening on Tuesday, June 5, with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony. The new Desmond Hotel Malvern is still family owned and operated. It will maintain everything guests loved about its homegrown hospitality, and will simply add on extra touches from one of the world’s most prominent hotel brands. For instance, guests’ experiences will begin with a #SweetWelcome — the signature, warm DoubleTree cookie — at check-in, and it all just gets sweeter from there.

“We’ve never been ‘just a hotel,’” said Michael G. Chain, Jr., general manager, Desmond Hotel Malvern, a DoubleTree by Hilton. “We are part of the fabric of this community. Entire generations of families have celebrated their most precious moments with us — birthdays, marriages, retirements, etc. We love these moments and look forward to all those yet to come.”

As part of the Desmond Hotel Malvern’s partnership with DoubleTree by Hilton, its dining room was completely remodeled into a new concept, now called Fork & Bottle. Under the direction of Executive Chef Christopher Calhoun, the new menu features ingredients sourced from the finest farms, dairies and seafood purveyors in North America.

Whether staying in for breakfastlunch, dinner or Sunday brunch, guests at Fork & Bottle will enjoy culinary treats such as artisan bread offerings from local bakery La Baguette Magique, tantalizing cheese options from Shy Brothers Farm in Westport, Massachusetts, superior beef offerings from Allen Brothers and sensational house-made desserts.

Book your “staycation” or getaway at the Desmond, or simply pop in for a bite at Fork & Bottle, and experience the high-quality amenities, amazing service, incredible food and warmth that have always been found at this Main Line institution!
