Grapes are so perfectly snack-able that we often overlook their ability to take special recipes to the next level, working beautifully with veggies, dairy, protein and more. This low-calorie fruit adds a pop of color and burst of flavor, while delivering big on antioxidants, fiber, vitamins and potassium.
Pennsylvania farmers grow a whole lot of grapes. While the majority are processed for wine or juice, there are table grape varieties that thrive in the Commonwealth, as well, often grown in Erie and Lancaster counties and around southeastern PA. Whether you enjoy the sweetness of a red grape or the tart tang of the green ones, they’re a potent and tasty way to brighten up your next dish.
Here are five ways to incorporate grapes into your cooking, starting with a recipe for roasted grape and ricotta crostinis – enjoy!
